Best Fortnite Collab Events

Fortnite may not be as popular as it once used to be, but it has always managed to ride the trend thanks to its collab events. From giving us the option to buy Fortnite skins coinciding with movie releases to holding virtual concerts, we have seen it all over the years.

So while you prepare to buy Fortnite gift card and spend your Vbucks on the latest Deadpool and Wolverine item pack, take a moment to reflect on some of the best Fortnite Collab events to date.

Jujitsu Kaizen

Fortnite has collaborated with many anime franchises recently, but few were as well received as Jujitsu Kaizen. The popular show was a sensation amongst the anime community in 2023, so it’s no surprise that Fortnite jumped immediately on the opportunity to bring the beloved characters to the game. You would barely find anyone looking to put up their Fortnite accounts for sale after getting their hands on these Fortnite collab skins.

Not only did we get the charming Gojo Satoru’s skin, but also special abilities such as the Straw Doll curse and Hollow Purple to wipe out enemies and structures. Other additions included the skins of protagonists Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushigoro, and Nobara Kugisaki.

Miles Morales

Spiderman is widely regarded as the face of superheroes, and he has grown even more popular in recent years due to MCU movies, Insomniac video games, and the Spider-Verse series. When Across the Spider-Verse was released in 2023, it was regarded as an animation masterpiece, and Fortnite doesn’t miss out on opportunities like that.

We quickly got a collaboration featuring aesthetically designed Mile Morales and Spider-Man 2099 skins, as well as items like the 928 axes and the Put ‘er There emote which can be obtained by Vbucks. The loading screen art was a beauty itself and was an instant pick, for me at least. Expect to get more items once the next film in the series rolls out later this year or the next!

Stranger Things

Few Netflix shows have kept their audiences as engaged as Stranger Things, and that’s no surprise given its storyline and supernatural elements. Fortnite’s collaboration with the binge-worthy show brought us several goodies, such as Chief Hopper, Demogorgon, and Eleven Skins, as well as themed pickaxes, really getting us into the mood of uncovering the secrets of the Upside Down.

Dragon Ball Z

The success of the Dragon Ball franchise has always served as a reference point for all anime. Most of us grew up watching Dragon Ball Z in one way or another, and it taught us the meaning of friendship and pride. So, Epic Games was always going to bring Earth’s greatest superheroes to Fortnite at some point.

We have our childhood heroes such as Goku and Vegeta in several variants, such as the Ultra Instinct, and also villains like the cunning Frieza and methodical Cell. The most satisfying addition, though, was the Kamehameha Wave. Let’s be real here; we’ve all tried releasing a powerful wave of energy from our hands at least once, right? Well, this Fortnite collab made it possible to do just that, dealing massive damage to your enemies in the process.

Ariana Grande and The Rift Tour

What made this event truly memorable wasn’t just the concert itself but also the buildup to it. At that point during the game, the map was going through an alien invasion with rifts opening and extraterrestrial events happening all over the place, and that was the artistic theme the event took, and also where it got the name from.

The eight-minute concert featured a giant Ariana singing several of her hit songs and was a testament to the scale of Fortnite’s influence on the worldwide community. Imagine millions of people around the world tuning into a game just to experience a virtual concert together; if it wasn’t established already, this event proved that Fortnite was more than just another battle royale game. Safe to say no one was putting up their Fortnite accounts for sale after the success of this event.

Avengers Infinity War

Few movies have kept the world in a chokehold quite like Infinity War did back in 2018 by bringing our favorite heroes and villains to life in an intergalactic fashion. To the delight of the gaming community, Fortnite was quick to bring the MCU to the game itself in the form of a Limited Time Event.

This event allowed you to play as Thanos and wield the mythical Infinity Gauntlet in all its glory to lay waste to your enemies. Not only did this give you an exhilarating feeling of invincibility, but it also made you feel involved in the Marvel craze that had consumed the world at the time.

Final Thoughts

Fortnite collab events have not only kept the game fresh and exciting but have also allowed fans to immerse themselves in their favorite universes like never before. As Epic Games continues to innovate and collaborate with various media, the future looks bright for Fortnite enthusiasts.
