Star Wars The Old Republic has a large galaxy for players to explore with tons of planets with their own quirks and dungeons. The Core Worlds are one of a few collections of planets.

The Core Worlds in Star Wars were known to be one of the most developed and rich planets in the whole galaxy with their populations soaring in numbers. These planets are so popular, that they are considered to be in the middle of the galaxy with one of these Star Wars core worlds being home to possibly the first ever humans.

Before the Hyperdrive allowed humans to travel far out into space to other world collections, the Core Worlds were the only sense of civilization across the galaxy for the longest time. With that, these Star Wars planets have a long history of industrialization and technological build-up, but they are also incredibly targeted when it comes to wanting to take over the galaxy as a whole.

Alderaan is the first planet of the Star Wars Core Worlds, and lots is going on there! It is an independent planet in the Galaxy and is also known as by far the most developed out of all the Core Worlds out there. It gained its independence from the Republic due to its protest of the Treaty of Coruscant. This treaty would cause the Republic to fall victim to the Sith Empire.

Now, this thriving planet is struggling underneath the heat of a civil war after the deadly assassination of their prince. All the noble houses and families are fighting over who will take over the throne and therefore Alderaan in full power of its people. This can make traveling through Alderaan a little messy, but still a nice place to see.

Balmorra is less of a civilized Star Wars planet as it is more focused on industrialization and mass manufacturing. It is also an independent planet from both the Empire and the Star Wars Republic, but it is highly targeted. This is because Balmorra is known for producing a wide range and number of Star Wars weapons that can aid both powers’ militaries.

However, despite being independent within the galaxy after the Treaty of Coruscant, Balmorra is an ally for the Republic and their cause rather than the Empire. However, due to the high manufacture of Star Wars weapons, Balmorra is usually always in a state of war and battle to protect its goods from greedy enemies.

Coreilla is the first planet to be completely aligned with the Republic. It is a planet known for its wide number of businesses and people pursuing their ambitions for riches. It is also a popular hub and birthplace of many politicians and military leaders who would lead and represent the Star Wars Republic.

Coreilla overall is known as a symbol of what the Republic’s morals and goals are all about. While the planet has been attacked and raided a few times for the Empire to fight against the Republic, Coreilla and its people are still determined to keep themselves alive and thriving with the incredible resourcefulness that they are so well known for.

Coruscant is a Star Wars planet that is entirely covered and ruled by one main city. For the longest time in history was the planet ruled by the Republic and the main home to the Jedi Order. However, Coruscant would be brutally attacked by the Sith which would cause the planet and its city to be damaged beyond belief.

The Coruscant peace treaty was created in the hopes of maintaining a sense of peace between the two warring factions so that the planet and its civilization may rebuild itself. While much of the politics and Jedi Temples have been mostly recovered, there are still a ton of areas around the city that are still stained from the last battle.

Manaan is a planet almost completely covered in water. Due to this, it is home to the native Selkath population. The Selkath protect the planet as much as they can which can make visitation difficult, but it is still known to be beautiful. The most interesting part about Manaan is how they contributed to both the Republic and the Empire through trading Kolto. There is so much history that flows with all the planets of the Core World and how they connect with the Republic and Empire. These Star Wars worlds have much gone on with their many wars and growing economies, but there is much more to be known about those who live in these civilizations and where you as the players fit in.
