How to Install War Thunder Skins
Not being knowledgeable about installing skins is completely normal. But it’s not a completely difficult task to do. It’s actually really easy to install these. Simply follow the following instructions:
Step 1
Head to the War Thunder website and look for the skin you want to download. Make sure you are downloading the skin you want to use. The skins in the site will always be usable in the game. The ones that are not will be marked as unusable for convenience.
Step 2
In your War Thunder directory, you will have to create a new folder called UserSkins. Place the files inside the zip file into the folder. This is a newly made folder so there’s nothing really to override when you put them inside.
Step 3
Launch the game and head to the vehicle customization menu. Select the vehicle you downloaded the skin for and you will find the custom skin ready for you to use in the game.
Benefits of Using War Thunder Custom Skins
Custom skins allow players to use skins that are officially not in the game. Usually major gaming companies don’t even allow custom skins and want players to buy their own official skins instead. But War Thunder amasses a good fanbase because of this. They allow the creativity of their players to take center stage and show off what they can do.
Not a lot of people understand this, but being able to have that level of customization allows players to keep playing the game. That’s why so many people often play games like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV. People crave that personal customization that allows them to express themselves.
If you don’t like mods and would prefer to just keep playing the game without any, then that’s fine. You won’t even see other players custom skin unless you download the same exact one and install it. It’s a great way to please both people who love to mod their games and people who prefer just playing the game as is.
In Conclusion
War Thunder’s community are full of creative people who share that creativity with everyone else. The skins are proof of that shared community’s creativity and the community spirit to come together and share them.
The developers actively support this as well. So you don’t have to worry about getting banned from using mods like other games. So buy War Thunder boosting if you want to show off your custom skins with some style.
