The Festival of Football patch comes with a dedicated UEFA EURO 2024 mode. FIFA 24 The European Journey Mode
Firstly, no, this isn’t anything at all like the Journey mode of FIFA 17 or FIFA 18! The European Journey mode is simply an objectives-based rewards system that makes your playing experience more engaging by incentivizing you with a range of rewards. FC 24 Kickoff Mode
You can play this game mode using any European nation, although we highly recommend you select from the 24 teams that qualified for the actual Euros. As expected, it’s very similar to the basic Kickoff mode except that it tries to replicate the Euros as closely as possible through the use of realistic stadiums, scoreboards, and match balls.
This is a local mode that you can enjoy as couch multiplayer or against CPU AI. In addition, the Match of the Day feature enables you to play the fixture in line with the actual matches taking place that day during the duration of the tournament.
FIFA 24 Tournament Mode
While the FC 24 EURO 2024 Kickoff mode allows you to quickly dive into the action, the Tournament mode is a far more realistic and rewarding experience, given that you have to work harder and longer for it. This recreates a proper tournament feel, complete with brackets leading up to the grand final. Time to really get in the mood for knockout football!
FC 24 Lead Your Nation Mode
We all grew up imagining ourselves leading our countries to ultimate glory by scoring the last-minute winner, didn’t we? Well, here’s your chance to recreate that through the Lead Your Nation mode. You have the option to create your own player or use an existing one, then play as that player as you make your way towards the final in Berlin.
EA FC 24 EUROs Online Friendlies Mode
Of course, playing against the CPU AI is bound to get boring at some point, and what if your friends are too busy to come over for some classic couch-multiplayer action? Fortunately, the FC 24 EURO 2024 update comes with a built-in Online Friendlies mode, enabling you to play against online players across the world.
Apart from the online functionality, it’s pretty much the same as the EA FC 24 EURO 2024 Kickoff mode that we discussed earlier, with options to adjust settings like game length, game speed, squad type, and more.
FC 24 Euro 2024 Other Updates
EA loves to tweak their game from time to time, so we have the following additional updates:
- Gameplay: A new skill move called ‘Double Touch Lane Change’ that glues the ball to your boots like a magnet. It can be executed by holding L2 + holding Right Stick R/L on the PS or by holding LT + holding RS R/L on the Xbox.
- New Celebration: Inspired by the already near-iconic ‘cold’ celebration used by Cole Palmer during his stunning season for Chelsea.
- Manager Career: Players from your Youth Academy scouted with a 90+ potential and 7 playstyles will develop two PlayStyles+.
- Clubs: Experience gained from a match will be doubled.
