HSR Fu Xuan History and Details
If you don’t know about the lovely HSR Fu Xuan, let me give you a quick recap. She was introduced back in the 1.3 update of Honkai: Star Rail as the head of the Divination Commission and has been a prominent character in the journey of Trailblazer (our main hero) ever since. What’s more, is that she is a formidable team member to have; with her having the Quantum Ability and taking the Preservation Path, she is able to provide defensive support and healing capabilities while also providing buffs such as increased Critical Rate, making it worth her ascension.
It is worth noting that with the release of the Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster mode, players who are interested in collecting rewards from this game mode would find this mode to be a safe haven for any HSR Fu Xuan ascension materials or fu xuan trace materials, since thanks to her Quantum element, this game mode becomes all the easier to clear.

It’s no unfamiliar fact that different characters present within the game of Honkai: Star Rail require different materials for ascension or tracing. We can just say that we are leveling up at this point now, and it’s the same case with Fu Xuan HSR, who needs these materials for both her ascension and tracing. First up, we will be needing Artifex’s Module/Cogwheel/Gyreheart, which are Enemy Drops in the Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster mode, and we will also be needing the Nail of the Ape, which is a Boss Drop in this mode. You will also need Trace materials to expand Honkai Star Rail Fu Xuan’s skill tree, which is Endurance of Bronze, Oath of Steel, and Safeguard of Amber, and a special item known as Regret of Infinite Ochema is also required, which is a Weekly Boss Drop in that game mode.
HSR Fu Xuan Ascension Materials
To fully level up or “ascend” Fu Xuan to the highest level, you would need a total of 308000 Credits along with 15 pieces of Artifex’s Module, 15 pieces of Artifex’s Cogwheel, 15 pieces of Artifex’s Gyreheart and 65 pieces of Nail of the Ape. Do keep in mind that you would need to level up using these items six times to enhance Honkai Star Rail Fu Xuan’s Ascension abilities fully.
Honkai Star Rail Fu Xuan Tracing Materials
Now, once the details regarding her Ascension are done, we will require materials for upgrading HSR Fu Xuan in three different categories, which are the following:- Basic Attack Trace, Skill/Talent/Ultimate Trace, and Skill Tree Trace materials.
We’ll start with the Basic Attack Trace materials first; the Basic Attacks are not part of the primary utility that Fu Xuan Honkai Star Rail uses in-game, but it is really quickly upgradable since they require fewer materials compared to the Skill Tree Trace and Ultimate Trace materials. For this one in total, you will need 240,000 Credits with three pieces of Endurance of Bronze, eight pieces of Oath of Steel, eleven pieces of Safeguard of Amber, six pieces of Artifex’s Module, seven pieces of Artifex’s Cogwheel and seven pieces of Artifex’s Gyreheart.
Upgrading the Skill, Talent, and Ultimate abilities is crucial to HSR Fu Xuan, and players are recommended to upgrade these to level 10 at first to fully utilize Honkai: Star Rail Fu Xuan’s abilities against oncoming waves of enemies. For upgrading to level 10 at first, you would need a total of 652,500 Credits along with three pieces of Endurance of Bronze, fifteen pieces of Oath of Steel, thirty pieces of Safeguard of Amber, nine pieces of Artifex’s Module, thirteen pieces of Artificer’s Cogwheel, seven pieces of Artifex’s Gyreheart, three pieces of Regret of Infinite Ochema, and two pieces of Tracks of Destiny.
Once you have upgraded to Level 10, only two upgrades are possible which would initially require double the amount of items listed above followed by a final upgrade which would require triple the amount of the items listed above.
