Lost Ark is coming in hot in 2024 with a slew of updates lined up from July till the end of the year. With the recent release of their updated roadmap for the year, we now have an early peek of what to expect with the Lost Ark new updates and changes.
But one of the most prominent Lost Ark updates that’s coming up pretty soon will be released in September and has the game entering a new era with the ‘endgame evolution’ that will change things to ‘Tier 4’.
Today, we’re taking a look at the details we know about in the Lost Ark update from the new raid, dungeons, a new location, and more additional changes you should know before the major Lost Ark Tier 4 update.

The North Kurzan Contient Expansion
The first major addition with the Tier 4 Lost Ark update in September will have players venturing across the land from Southern Kurzan where the first inklings of Kazeros’ resurrection were spotted.
Now players will make their way to the Northern part of the continent to reunite the allied forces of Arkesia to prepare for the fated battle against the Lord of Abyss, Kazeros, once more.

The New Behemoth Raid
In addition to the new continent and area expansion, there’s also a grueling 16-player Raid where players will need to take on the Behemoth. But be wary, as there’s a limited pool of revives that can prove fatal without the right strategy in defeating the menacing Behemoth.
If you and your party manage to best the Behemoth in the new Raid, you’ll be rewarded with Lost Ark Tier 4 materials and weapon Transcendence so there are plenty of rewards for mastering the new Raid.
We don’t have too many additional details about the new raid just yet but we do know that to enter the fight against the megalithic dragon, you’ll need Item Level 1640 so you might need to hit up the Lost Ark shop for some new gear.
Two New Dungeons: Kenuat Fortress & Kurzan Frontline
With the Lost Ark Tier 4 update, we’ll also get two new dungeons for progression namely Kenuat Fortress and the Kurzan Frontline. In Kenuat Fortress, players can find T4 Gear Selection Chests as loot and can level up existing gear to Item Level 1640 using the ‘gear transfer’ feature.
To access Kenuat Fortress, players will require a minimum Item Level of 1620.
The Kurzan Frontline on the other hand is a brand new hack-and-slash game mode to decimiate your foes. To play through the new Kurzan Frontline dungeon, players require 100 Energy of Resonance, the energy used for Chaos Dungeons.
Lost Ark Tier 4 Changes
There are quite a few changes to Gear, Engravings, Gems, Ability Stones, Accessories, and more with the upcoming Lost Ark update. Here’s a quick overview of the new changes and what you can expect when the Tier 4 ‘Evolution’ takes place in September.
Changes to Gear
There will be a new T4 Gear in Relic & Ancient level rarity with the maximum quality now set to 120. Infuse Elgic 2 will also be added alongside Sidereal to 9 – 10. Additionally, all your existing gear can still be used as well as Advanced Honing, Elixir, and Transcendence settings that have already been applied.
This also includes any looks like glow effects to your gear so you don’t have to worry about your old gear getting outdated.
The New Engravings System
The new Engravings system allows 5 Engravings to be used at once. You can change Class Engravings with the Ark Passive System and any Engravings obtained via Ability Stones can be upgraded from their ‘faceting’ level.
Gems
With Gems, you can transfer Gems from T3 to T4 Gems however this will decrease the Gem by two levels. So if you have a T3 Level 5 Gem, when transferred to a T4 Gem, it’ll be at Level 3.
Additionally, T4 Gems of Crimson Flame or Annilhation will receive a base attack damage increase as well as an increase to exclusive Support class effects.
Ability Stones
There’ll be new T4 Ability Stones added to the game but the value of T3 Ability Stones is maintained. You can also transfer any T3 Ability Stones to T4 Ability Stones in case you’ve already got a stockpile hoarded up.
The New Level Caps
And with the new expansions rapidly approaching, all level caps will have an increase so it’s about time to get back to the grind all over again. Here are the new level caps that’ll change with the new Lost Ark update:
- Combat Level – 60 to 70
- Roster Level – 300 to 400
- Skill Level – 12 to 14
- Trade Skill Level – Increased to 70
- Trade Skill Mastery – Increased to 24
There are a few more minor Lost Ark updates and changes but what we’ve detailed above are the most important things to know for the Lost Ark Tier 4 endgame evolution coming this September.
