OSRS Mobile Beta Guide

Attention, Old School RuneScape mobile players! Big changes are rolling out. The OSRS Mobile Beta of your interface will launch on June 13th, 2024. This update includes the important feedback from the previous Beta and introduces new features that will improve your experience in playing on a phone or tablet.

However, before you delve into the RuneScape mobile update, we suggest getting a stacked OSRS account. This will allow you to get straight into the game without any worries about leveled-up accounts or high-level gear.

Revamped Interface: A More Streamlined Experience

The OSRS Mobile New UI Beta brings a wave of changes designed to improve your overall experience.

Side Stones Return

Many players missed the convenience of side stones in the previous OSRS Mobile Beta. They’re back and better than ever, positioned on the right-hand side for easy access. The interface features two columns: the first for frequently used combat actions, and the second for less-used features like Clan Chat and Settings.

To declutter your screen, you can collapse the second column with a handy button. The logout button has been relocated to the top-left corner to accommodate these changes.

Hotkeys: Enhance Your Gameplay Efficiency

The new hotkey system replaces the function buttons from the previous OSRS Mobile Beta. These five customizable hotkeys allow you to assign various actions and settings, similar to the F-Keys on the desktop client. This grants you more control and flexibility over your gameplay.

For instance, you can set a hotkey to quickly open your Prayer menu or activate a specific combat ability. The OSRS Mobile Beta also introduces hotkey load-outs – create up to three sets of hotkeys optimized for different activities like PvM (Player vs Monster) or Skilling, and easily switch between them with a long tap.

Our website also offers exclusive deals on in-game currencies, so you can get cheap OSRS Gold. Giving you more value for money.

Improved Chat Interface: Focus on the Game or Stay Connected

The chat interface has received an overhaul to better suit your preferences. You can now collapse the entire chat window for a more focused gameplay experience. Chat filters, previously accessible through a dedicated button, are now available with a long tap on the speech bubble button. This frees up valuable screen space.

The tiny speech bubble button has been replaced with a larger and more user-friendly keyboard button. Future updates promise exciting features like a clipboard and selection support for enhanced chat functionality.

Popout Panel: Essential Information at Your Fingertips

Borrowing inspiration from the popular RuneLite desktop client, the new popout panel offers quick access to valuable information and features. This panel includes XP tracking, ground item indicators, and more functionalities planned for future updates. Unlike the previous version that obstructed the right-hand side panels, the popout panel sits discreetly in the bottom left corner. It provides three modes for your convenience: hidden (minimized for quick access), compact (displays a single feature), and full (shows all available information).

Minimap Enhancements: Navigate with Ease

The minimized version of the minimap has been redesigned for a cleaner look and improved space efficiency. The World Map and Wiki buttons have also been reworked for easier tapping and better visual consistency with the rest of the interface.

How to Access the OSRS Mobile Beta

The OSRS Mobile Beta will be available for three days starting June 13th on dedicated Beta worlds. Here’s how to join the fun:

Reconvert Your Save

Be mindful that existing saves won’t carry over between Beta and normal worlds. To participate with your main character, access the Settings menu, navigate to Gameplay, and select the OSRS Mobile Beta worlds option. There, you can convert your save for use on the Beta worlds or reset your current OSRS Beta world save for a fresh start. You’ll also find a handy teleport to the mainland if you choose to start anew.

Access OSRS Beta Worlds

During the OSRS Mobile Beta period, log in to the game and select one of the dedicated OSRS Beta worlds (worlds 585-589). These worlds will offer your converted save or a fresh character with the option to teleport directly to the mainland.

Share Your Feedback!

The developers are actively seeking player feedback to refine the mobile UI and ensure it meets the needs of the community. A survey will be available during the Beta launch. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your experience and help shape the future of OSRS mobile beta!
