The Events You Must Do in Fallout 76

Fallout 76

There are loads and loads of events that can pop up in Fallout 76. Honestly, if we’re in the vicinity, we try to do as many of them as possible. However, we know that isn’t always going to be feasible for people. So, we figured we would write a guide to the must-do Fallout 76 events. These are the ones that have the most rewards. So, if you have bought Fallout 76 caps for sale and want to put your new Fallout 76 armor/weapons/build to use, these are the ones you need to check out.

Scorched Earth

Out of all the events in Fallout 76, Scorched Earth is a ‘must do’ whenever it appears. Scorched Earth will spawn a Scorched queen (basically a flying dragon), which is a loot pinata. Oh, and you’ll have countless mobs running around too. On top of this, completing the event awards various components for some of the rarest C.A.M.P. gear in the game (something for removing rads). It is one of the events in the game which will have almost the entire server joining in on the action, which makes it even more fun, if a little laggy.

Encrypted

This public event doesn’t trigger that frequently (as a player needs to complete an associated quest), and when it does trigger, it is almost impossible to complete alone since you’ll be facing a rather tough legendary enemy at the end. However, if you do see it pop, take part. The rewards are awesome. This includes the Fixer Plan, and some cool Sheepsquatch gear. You’ll probably need to run it several times to get the whole set.

Moonshine Jamboree

If you’re hurting for treasury notes, or just need a load of XP for not a whole lot of effort, then Moonshine Jamboree is perfect. In this, there’ll be countless enemies spawning, attempting to destroy the various distillers. The players need to kill these, protect the distillers, and make sure that the brewing process completes properly.

On top of all the treasury notes, successful completions can also gives some repair packs, chems, ammo, and loads of stims.

Heart of the Swamp

Most of the people who complete Heart of the Swamp will be doing so because they want the rather cool Tattered Field Jacket cosmetic which, to be honest, is one of the main reasons we do the event too. However, we do love the fact that you can also enjoy a few treasury notes on top of this. Perfect for playing about with!

On top of this, you get some cool XP, and a plan. It may not always be a rare plan, but we’ve used Heart of the Swamp to round out our plan selection, and we’ve almost always gained a plan or two that we don’t have.

Do bear in mind that this is a very fast event. When it triggers, you’ll want to get there as soon as you can. It is normally over in just a couple of minutes. Luckily, free fast travel will take you right to the swamp.

Eviction Notice

Ask any player what their ‘must play’ event is, and it’ll be Eviction Notice. In Eviction Notice, you’ll be going up against all sorts of high level Super Mutants, many of them will be legendaries. In fact, most of them will be legendary. This means that you’ll pick up countless legendary items, loads of XP, and loads of cool drops. If you really want to hit your legendary cap for the day, then one or two eviction notice events will probably be all it takes.

A Colossal Problem

This is an event that can be tricky, because if you die during it, you pretty much lose out on your drops. Still, if you’re able to survive the Earl Williams boss, then you’ll have your hands on some awesomely cool loot. This includes legendaries, treasury notes, and loads and loads of screws (this is actually one of the best sources for screws in the game).

If you do tackle the boss, then make sure that you go in with some rad-resistant gear, as Earl Williams pumps out a lot of rads, and that’ll probably be what takes you out if you’re not careful. Oh, and you probably won’t want to be facing him as a low level either. Yes, the game scales, but it doesn’t scale that well!

Of course, if you see another event close by, always take part. The drops may not be as good as the ones we’ve talked about here, but most events will be worth your time, and a good chunk of them can be soloed!
